Most of the time I spend in Oklahoma was visiting friends,
relaxing, swimming, and hanging out. I went from Tulsa to Oklahoma
City on Day 6 (13 June 2001). I took a picture of his huge house
with Wolf's Runner as a reference for size.
After leaving on Day 7, it started raining. I was still hitting
a good cross wind / head wind combination. I got my oil changed
outside OKC then proceded to drive through Texas and into Albuquerque,
NM. I made reasonably good time and was able to have dinner with
some friends in Albuquerque. After a nice meal, I headed back
east on I40 to Moriarty where I met up with LT, the reason for
taking this trip.
We went out late that night to take care of a personal matter
for him. On our way back, he showed me some of the rocks he liked
playing on. The Runner didn't have a very easy time making it
up them, but it did make it. However, as I was leaving, I went
over one rock that was a bit larger than I'd thought it was.
Being used to my Toy, I didn't think anything of it. However,
I came down on the Shittybuilt nerf bar on the right side. Instead
of protecting the truck, it quickly caved in and pushed into
the rocker panel of the truck. Jumping down on the nerf bar moved
it back into place, but the damage was done. It didn't really
hurt anything, just left a nice nerf bar sized dent in the rocker
panel.
